Cameco Corporation

Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. Utilities around the world rely on our nuclear fuel products to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Together, we are meeting the ever-increasing demand for clean, baseload electricity while delivering energy solutions to support the world's net-zero goals.

We have interests in tier-one mining and milling operations that have the licensed capacity to produce more than 30 million pounds (our share) of uranium concentrates annually, backed by more than 469 million pounds (our share) of proven and probable mineral reserves. We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion and fuel manufacturing services.

Four Pillars:

  1. Youth: Supporting projects from preschool to high school and throughout the community
  2. Education: Creating opportunities for young people in the communities where we operate
  3. Health & Wellness: Supporting projects that improve access to health services for our employees and their neighbours
  4. Community: Supporting programs and projects that contribute to prosperity and quality of life in the community, building infrastructure for the future and strengthening local economies

Our community investment program encompasses strong relationships with the communities in which we operate. Our program is built on the fundamental belief that supportive communities are a key measure of the company's long-term success. Each year the company targets one percent of after-tax net earnings for community initiatives and projects.

Cameco's people provide important leadership to community organizations and campaigns. Since beginning in 2004, our Employee Giving campaigns have provided more than $13.3 million back into our local communities. Funds support the local United Ways in Saskatoon and Area and Northumberland County (Ontario), as well as dozens of charities personally chosen by individual employees.

In 2023, the Cameco-wide Employee Giving campaign resulted in $733,674 raised to benefit a variety of charities in our local communities. More than 160 charities, chosen by employees, will benefit from the 2023 campaign
